Job summary

Young World Physical Education is hiring a High School Assistant Baseball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year at Carthage High School. The successful candidate will develop a program for students while ensuring compliance with athletic guidelines and policies. Applicants must hold a Missouri State Teaching Certificate for Head Coach or a Substitute Certificate for Assistant Coach. The role includes supervising students and maintaining communication with various stakeholders. Position is on a stipend basis.

Qualifications

Missouri State Teaching Certificate is required for Head Coach.
Substitute Certificate is required for Assistant Coach.

Responsibilities

Develop a program for the students, school, and community.
Ensure all paperwork is on file and submitted in a timely manner to the appropriate office.
Monitor academics, regulations, and guidelines.
Supervise all students under your control.
Follow all school and MSHSAA guidelines regarding athletic safety.
Work with the athletic director in the appointment and evaluation of assistants.
Conform to athletic department policy in ordering equipment and supplies.
Plan and supervise all practice sessions.
Conform to activities policies in handling injuries.
Maintain open lines of communication with administration, staff, coaches, players, and parents.
