The Morris School District is seeking a Director of Athletics for Morristown High School (Grades 9-12) to oversee all interscholastic sports, schedule events, and ensure compliance with eligibility and conduct policies. The role requires strong budget oversight and coordination with district leadership.

Applicants must hold New Jersey Principal or Supervisor Certification and have experience as a classroom teacher and athletic coach. A competitive salary and benefits package are provided.

Qualificações

• New Jersey Principal or Supervisor certification is required.
• Experience as both a classroom teacher and athletic coach.
• Knowledge of interscholastic athletics and NJSIAA rules.

Responsabilidades

• Organizes and schedules all interscholastic sporting events for the high school.
• Assigns officials, trainers, physicians and site managers and supervises home games.
• Arranges transportation for athletic contest participants.
• Implements the athletics code of conduct at the high school.
• Verifies athlete eligibility per physical and academic requirements.
• Prepares and administers the athletic program budget with the principal.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment and runs coaches meetings.
• Oversees facilities use, field arrangements and security for home games.
• Manages and supervises the athletic trainer/equipment manager and inventory.
• Represents the Morris School District at conference meetings and sports events.
