Job summary

Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health and Science Charter School is seeking an on-site HS Associate Dean to assist and support the HS leaders with implementing the norms of conduct related to safety, behavior, and discipline.

The role covers upholding systems, fostering positive student engagement, creating a strong culture, and supporting instruction under the Dean and Leadership Team. Regular hours, a 10-month term, and an annual salary range from $65,000 to $75,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Related experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Successful experience in communicating with parents and students.

Responsibilities

• Uphold school expectations and implement norms of conduct related to safety, behavior, and discipline in collaboration with the HS Principal and the Dean team.
• Support student transitions and help the school community travel safely through hallways.
• Meet with the Dean department to discuss school-wide issues, trends, and upcoming events.
• Promote positive discipline and support PBIS and restorative practices with fidelity.
• Lead restorative conversations between students who have experienced conflict and take the lead at student town halls and assemblies.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency and discipline across the school and communicate with families to guide student behavior.
