Job summary

International Leadership of Texas is seeking a director-level leader to direct and manage assigned areas of instructional program and campus operations. Oversee student activities and services to support student success and school efficiency.

The role requires a Principal/Mid-Management certificate (preferred), plus teaching experience and strong leadership, budgeting, and data interpretation skills to drive instructional improvement and campus performance.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience.
• Ability as an instructional leader.
• Certified teacher appraiser/T-TESS AEL certification or ability to obtain.
• Texas principal or equivalent certificate.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support development of innovative instructional programs and participate in program evaluation measures.
• Reinforce staff performance expectations for instructional strategies and classroom management.
• Foster collegiality and teamwork; involve staff in decision-making processes.
• Lead planning for school improvements and participate with staff, parents, and community to meet the school’s mission.
• Develop and maintain information systems to track campus performance objectives and academic indicators.
• Act as campus behavior coordinator in accordance with state laws and regulations.
• Develop a student discipline management system with faculty and students.
• Ensure school rules are applied equitably and discipline policies are followed.
• Conduct conferences with parents, students, and teachers regarding school issues.
• Ensure adequate supervision during non-instructional periods.
• Oversee campus operations in principal’s absence.
• Plan and schedule daily activities, class schedules, teacher assignments, and extracurricular activities.
• Oversee attendance reporting and address related issues.
• Work with department heads to compile annual budget requests.
• Requisition supplies, textbooks, and equipment and manage inventory.
• Coordinate transportation, custodial, and cafeteria services to meet campus needs.
• Comply with district policies and state and federal laws.
• Observe employee performance and conduct evaluation conferences as needed.
• Assist principal in interviewing, selecting, and orienting new staff.
• Articulate the school’s mission to the community and solicit support from stakeholders.
• Demonstrate awareness of school-community needs and engage parents in initiatives.
• Any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
