Job summary

Goldendale School District Athletics - High School in Goldendale, WA is seeking an Assistant Cross Country Coach. This part-time role reports to the Athletic Director and Head Coach and starts immediately, offering a stipend per extracurricular agreement.

Responsibilities include planning and supporting practices, supervising events, basic medical care for minor injuries, and ensuring compliance with WIAA and district policies while coordinating with the head coach and athletic director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current first aid/CPR card.
• Ability to meet WIAA coaching requirements and follow all WIAA and district guidelines.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Plan and execute or assist with the process for all team practices.
• Supervise players and volunteers at all team events (games, practices, road trips, meetings, etc.).
• Provide basic medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Be able to execute emergency plan for athletic facilities.
• Keep current with district and WIAA rules and regulations.
• Work collaboratively to ensure athletic program is aligned with the vision and philosophy of the head coach and athletic director.
• Post-season collection of all issued equipment, med kits, keys and uniforms for inventory.
• Post-season debriefing/evaluation.
