Job summary

Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT is seeking a PRN Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to perform advanced obstetric ultrasound in a high‑risk setting, collaborating with physicians and clinical teams to deliver accurate, patient‑centered imaging.

AR DMS in OB/GYN or Fetal Echo and BLS are required; three years OB/MFM experience preferred. Shifts are weekday, no call, with an hourly rate of $43.09–$66.47.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registration in OB/GYN or Fetal Echo is required.
• Supports MFM research studies as directed and adheres to AIUM detailed fetal anatomy exam standards.
• Ability to independently perform complex OB/MFM exams according to department requirements.
• Subject matter expert in advanced technologies and practices.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound imaging using approved protocols.
• Prepare patients and verify identification prior to examinations.
• Annotate and store exams following standard scanning protocols and transfer to PACS.
• Follow processes for medical necessity, coding, charging, documentation, and informed consent.
• Maintain safety practices, including equipment cleaning and sterile technique.
• Complete documentation with accurate time stamps and image storage.
• Participate in MFM training and departmental process improvements.
