Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital providing medical, surgical, critical, and emergency care, including pediatric emergency services. Memorial Hospital Shiloh, a 94-bed hospital with private suites, recognized with Magnet status in 2018, offers emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical, surgical, and critical care services.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Promotes patient and family-centered care; educates on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  2. Participates in activities promoting patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and professional development.
  3. Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with collaborative goals, ensuring communication across care continuum.
  4. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
  5. This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work alertly and safely is essential.
