Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Rochelle, Illinois is seeking a dependable forklift operator to handle stand-up reach trucks across cold and dry storage areas. You will move goods, stack pallets, and prepare units for outbound shipments while following safety standards.

Qualifications include at least 6 months of reach truck or stand-up forklift experience, ability to lift 40 lbs, and ability to work flexible shifts including weekends; strong math and basic RF knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.
• Ability to work in temperatures from -20°F/-25°C to 100°F/37°C with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up reach forklift to move products and materials safely.
• Store palletized units by lifting forks into high racks.
• Pick palletized units from upper rack locations for outbound shipments.
• Record materials, weight, counts, and condition via RF system.
• Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
• Monitor and maintain battery charging and equipment cleanliness.
• Collaborate with others and work with related machinery.

Job description

Work Schedule

• Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6pm to 4am
• Friday–Saturday (weekend shift) 6:00 PM- 6AM

To be considered candidate must have at least 6 months of recent Reach truck or Stand up forklift experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Use stand-up reach forklift to move products, equipment, and materials while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Put away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height.
• Pick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment.
• Choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via Radio Frequency (RF) system.
• Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting device.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
• Monitor battery charge, maintain, and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.

Pay Range: $19.18 - $32.40
