Job summary

Lineage is seeking a High Reach Forklift Operator - Freezer to handle palletized goods in our cold storage facilities. You will operate a stand-up reach forklift, place and retrieve pallets, and document weights using RF systems in a fast-paced environment.

Safety and precision are essential as you work in temperatures ranging from -20F to 100F. The role offers on-the-job training, opportunities for growth, and benefits after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends if needed.
• Comfortable working in cold storage temps as low as -20F/-25C and hot areas up to 100F/37C.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up reach forklift in freezer and normal storage areas.
• Put away palletized units into racks above floor height.
• Pick palletized units for outbound shipment.
• Record material details and weights using RF system.
• Perform daily forklift maintenance/checks.
• Maintain and charge batteries and keep equipment area clean.

Job description

Position: High Reach Forklift Operator - Freezer

Schedule Options:

• Monday - Friday | 7:30AM - 4:15PM

Pay Range:

$20-$22/hour

Use stand-up reach forklift to move products, equipment, and materials while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Put away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height
• Pick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment
• Choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via Radio Frequency (RF) system
• Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting device
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet
• Monitor battery charge, maintain, and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station

Additional duties and responsibilities

• Work with other machinery and material handling equipment

Minimum requirements (knowledge, skills, abilities)

• Basic math skills
• Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

Pay Range:

$17.79 - $30.05
