Job summary

Chromalox is seeking a Hydro Tester to test boilers, tanks, fittings, and pipes for leaks using compressed air or water pressure. You will install fittings, pressurize, read gauges, observe leaks, and mark sources for repair, ensuring safety and quality.

The role includes electrical testing, basic TPM maintenance, and teamwork to improve processes. A high school diploma or GED and basic math and reading skills are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform standard shop math using measurements and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Test boilers, tanks, fittings, and pipes for leaks using compressed air or water pressure.
• Install fittings to seal outlets and connect to pressure lines.
• Monitor gauges for specified pressure and identify leaks.
• Perform electrical testing and TPM maintenance as needed.
