Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson, Inc. is seeking a Cylinder Filler to safely handle and fill gas cylinders, complying with OSHA, FDA, and company procedures. You will read labels, color codes, label cylinders, and document fills accurately in required logs.

The role requires 1–3 years in gas/welding or related industries, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift heavy cylinders and operate a forklift. We offer a competitive hourly wage of $24–$26.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience in gas/welding industry or related field.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and quality standards in gas/welding/chemical industries.

Responsibilities

• Fills all gas cylinders, high and low pressure, and liquid containers in accordance with safety procedures and quality requirements.
• Reads cylinder labels and color codes to identify contents and accurately labels cylinders.
• Comply with safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules and procedures.
• Move cylinders as required in the plant; may load/unload trucks.
• Completes all documentation and forms during the fill process and ensures proper labeling, decals, and lot numbers.
• Tests all gases and documents results on compression log report.
• Complies with government and company standards for safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases.
• Maintains a neat, clean, and orderly workplace.
• Monitors and maintains stock to meet customer demand; inventory of empty cylinders.
• May repair filling equipment such as pigtails, fill hoses, valves and safeties.
• Sets a positive example through loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Adheres to all quality assurance policies and standards.
• Reports accidents including near misses and unsafe acts.
