Qualifications

• 5+ years in high-performance auto industry focusing on tuning, drivability, and diagnostics
• Tech-savvy with ability to adapt to educational/technical software
• Hands-on experience with classic vehicles, custom trucks, race cars, or performance builds
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset in a shop-floor environment
• Dynamometers experience is a plus; ASE certifications are a plus and show commitment to craftsmanship

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and enforce WyoTech policies; advise students on attendance, grades, professionalism, and personal issues to ensure program completion
• Submit grades, tests, attendance, and materials; plan instruction based on syllabus; ensure learning objectives are met; utilize CANVAS LMS
• Support EPA and safety procedures; encourage safe, quality student work with safety precautions
• Maintain and repair class equipment and tool inventory; secure the workspace
• Attend instructor meetings, graduations, and registrations; participate in curriculum development and professional development
• Foster motivation and enthusiasm in shop and classroom; build professional rapport with students
• Prepare for class; have materials ready; provide necessary information and assignments; provide peer tutors as needed
• Monitor class and shop; maintain control of classroom during lessons
• Follow ADA requirements; be available 15 minutes before/after class
• Maintain security on tests and lesson plans; preserve confidentiality
• Other duties as directed by department coordinators
