Job summary

Digital Pore Solutions in Fort Collins, CO, seeks software engineers with a strong grounding in high-performance computing to advance Digital Rock Technology (DRT) in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will design and optimize multiphase flow simulation software, work with MPI, CUDA, and modern C++23, and collaborate with domain scientists to deliver scalable backend modules and intuitive GUIs. This full-time role is in-office in Fort Collins with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc/PhD in engineering with CFD/ multiphase flow focus.
• Experience in OO programming and data-oriented design.
• Proficiency in C++23 and Python.
• Familiarity with Docker/Singularity.
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.

This role puts you at the crossroads of advanced software development and state-of-the-art multiphase flow simulation for Digital Rock Technology (DRT) in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and test software modules for multiphase flow and transport simulation in porous media.
• Conduct bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.
• Optimize and scale simulation code using parallel programming frameworks (MPI, CUDA).
• Integrate and maintain core simulation backend modules with user-facing GUIs.
• Collaborate with domain scientists and engineers to design software architecture and drive agile development cycles.

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc, or PhD degrees in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Petroleum, or a related Engineering field with a focus on computational flow modeling, such as multiphase flow CFD simulations and reservoir-scale flow simulations.
• Experience in object-oriented programming and data-oriented design.
• Development experience in modern C++23 and Python.
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker, Singularity).
• Experience with modern CI/CD practices (e.g., GitHub Actions or GitLab CI).

The Ideal Candidate Would Have

• A background in CFD in porous media.
• Demonstrated expertise in high-performance computing (HPC).
