Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a 1st shift High Lift Equipment Operator in Northlake, IL. The role involves operating high lift/mhe, stocking, picking, packing, and loading/unloading about 85% of the day, with a 2pm-12am Wednesday-Saturday shift.

Responsibilities

• Move, stock, stage, and store products using high lift reach equipment and narrow-aisle gear.
• Efficiently stock merchandise in appropriate areas and prepare for shipment.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment with exact counts and types.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through records and reports.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Report quality variances and maintain orderly facilities.
• Assist in physical inventories and stock rotation.

The core responsibilities of this role include Raw material picking, placing SKU into location, packing and picking, loading, unloading approx. 85% of the day; operating MHE including dock stocker, cherry picker and high reach.

Position: 1st shift high lift equipment operator

Shift: 2pm-12am Wednesday-Saturday

Pay:$20.75 plus 1.00 shift differential

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience: A minimum of 1 year experience operating material handling equipment is required. Experience operating MHE including dock stocker, cherry picker and high reach.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for operating the High Lift equipment in narrow isles for the purpose of moving, stocking, picking and counting merchandise in accordance with production standards. High lift equipment is equipped with electronic wire-guided systems at some locations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Moving, stocking, staging, and storing products and materials using high lift reach equipment, narrow isle equipment, utilizing electronic wire-guided systems where installed.
• Efficiently stock and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is correct.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Report quality variances.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Ensure proper stock rotation.
• Extend to higher levels than on normal forklift equipment.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 6 months warehousing and inventory experience, preferred
