Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state applied to.
• Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD/DO) or Board Prepared within 5 years of residency/fellowship.
• Valid DEA number and licenses/certificates to prescribe medications, including controlled substances.
• Strong understanding of psychiatrist assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic techniques.
• Knowledge of evidence-based interventions in psychiatric treatment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients in the outpatient setting.
• Provide medication management and therapy to a diverse patient population.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment and research methodologies.
• Make referrals for psychotherapy and collaborate with other mental health professionals for comprehensive care.
• Maintain confidential client records in compliance with legal/ethical standards.
• Advocate for clients' needs and rights, including access to services and medications.
