Job summary

EMrecruits is recruiting an Emergency Medicine physician for a full-time role in Birmingham, Alabama. The position offers an independent, physician-owned practice with a clear path to partnership and a plus-up compensation structure based on wRVU production.

The primary sites include UAB Medical West in Hoover and a freestanding ED with flexible scheduling. Shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours, with ~14 shifts per month and a modern support system including APPs and evolving documentation tools.

Qualifications

• Board certification/eligibility in Emergency Medicine (BC/BE).
• Full-Time EM physician with independence and path to partnership.
• Experience with high-volume ED operations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Rotates between UAB Medical West and Hoover Freestanding ED to balance acuity and flow.
• Staff shifts of 8, 10, and 12 hours (~14 shifts per month) with flexible scheduling.
• Collaborate with APPs and ancillary teams; participate in operational decisions.
