Job summary

Springfield Public Schools seeks two Educational Assistants to provide High-Dosage Tutoring in Reading at Two Rivers Dos Rios Elementary School. Tutors will train to instruct small groups (4 or fewer students) in research-aligned literacy strategies, while performing other Educational Assistant duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include direct support to teachers, record-keeping, attendance tasks, and adherence to district policies. Position is part-time with varied duties and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher (or 72 credits/48 semester units) preferred.
• High school diploma or GED accepted with demonstrated reading/LA/math instructional ability.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR and SafeSchools training.

Responsibilities

• Provide supplemental practice and small-group instruction (4 or fewer students) under teacher supervision.
• Record grades and maintain classroom materials and logs.
• Assist with health room, student behavior, and safety as needed.
• Support attendance, data entry, and basic district paperwork.
• Participate in trainings and in-service staff meetings.
