Job summary

Creekstone Farms Premium Beef LLC in Arkansas City, KS is seeking a Hide Process Trainee to learn operating the Hide Process to support uptime, quality, and yields while maintaining a safe work environment. This entry-level role is designed for individuals with no prior experience who want to grow a career with Creekstone.

You will learn to operate centrifuges, grinders, hide puller, and load-out equipment, and assist in meeting product specifications.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for learning to operate the Hide Process to ensure uptime for production, quality, and yields, while ensure the safest work environment possible. The Hide Process Trainee is the starting point for those with no experience who want to learn the process and grow a career with Creekstone and work to perpetuate a \"Creekstone Proud\" culture through attitude and actions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Learn the operations of centrifuges, Grinders, Hide puller, load out area, meal grinder
• Support operation of the process to produce product that is within specification
• Learn about yields by gaining a clear understanding of yields of product
• Assist where needed, as directed by department management
• Adhere to Safety Program’s rules and regulations
• Physically capable of performing job duties while wearing a Respirator in certain situations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Climbing, stooping, and crouching occasionally; Standing for 8 or more hours per day; Walking frequently; Pushing, pulling, and grasping to move materials in the warehouse; Must be able to lift 0 – 80+lbs; Able to work in hot and cold environments; Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) occasionally – hard hat, safety-toe boots, safety goggles, hair/beard net, etc.
