Job summary

Benihana is seeking energetic team members to deliver a memorable hibachi dining experience. You will front-line engage guests while cooking and presenting meals directly at the hibachi grill, ensuring portions meet standards and the dining area stays clean and organized.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and must complete the Benihana chef training program. Prior chef or cook experience is a plus, and the role offers opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must successfully pass Benihana chef training program.
• Previous experience as chef or cook is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests within 15 minutes of teppan orders.
• Perform a cooking show for assigned tables with engaging interaction.
• Provide guests with information about Benihana foods during cooking.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry and vegetables for cooking.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and hibachi tables; follow FIFO for handling foods.
