Job summary

Midway Products Group Inc in Kentucky is seeking a Hi-Lo Driver to perform materials handling with powered equipment, following verbal and written orders, and maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities include operating the forklift safely, moving, loading and unloading materials, weighing items, recording data, refueling, and performing daily shift inspections.

You will train new employees and keep documentation up to date.

Qualifications

  • Must have training and experience.
  • Recertification required every 3 years after initial certification.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates powered industrial lift truck.
  • Moves materials to designated areas.
  • Unloads and stacks material.
  • Supplies workers with materials as required, in a timely manner.
  • Loads and unloads steel trucks. May load and unload shipping trucks.
  • Interprets labels to ensure proper disposition of materials.
  • Weighs materials or products and records on tags or labels.
  • Refuels power supply as needed.
  • Trains new or less experienced employees on the job.
  • Maintains proper records of the work performed.
  • Performs daily shift inspection checks to ensure Hi-Lo is in proper working condition.
  • Reports safety or mechanical problems with the Hi-Lo to an Area Manager or Team Leader.
  • Fills out daily and weekly scrap audits and other pertinent paperwork including Julian dates and bar codes from shipping department.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations.
  • Dumps scrap as necessary.
  • Treats all team members with respect and dignity.
  • Performs other essential functions as assigned.
