Magna Powertrain in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Production Hi-lo Driver to ensure efficient material flow, stocking plates, parts, and supplies to the presses and work centers. You will support production, verify part numbers, weigh containers, and identify any nonconforming items while following safety procedures and company policies.

This role demands reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Hi-lo driver in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow MIOSHA safety requirements.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Demonstrates creativity, initiative, and problem solving skills.
• Proficient experience of bar coding system.

Responsibilities

• Keep presses and work centers supplied with containers, parts, material and/or components.
• Support production and eliminate downtime.
• Verify that material and product has been properly identified with part number and operation number.
• Before product is to be placed in final audit, work in process, or finished goods, the container is to be weight counted.
• All nonconforming products entering the hold area are to be identified with a part number, quantity and defect description.
