Part‑time position. Must be clean‑shaven and willing to travel to different locations.

Position Purpose

Responsible for working on Household hazardous waste collection events or events similar in nature while maintaining a professional image and adhering to all VESTS Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

• Unload materials from vehicles, trucks and pick‑ups.
• Able to recognize potentially dangerous situations relating to chemical handling.
• Consistently follow all compliance, health and safety, and procedures in accordance with departmental and regional policies.
• Foster a proper company image to customers through regular professional interaction.
• Follow directions and work as part of a team in a changing job environment.
• Work in a safe manner.
• Segregate chemicals into packaging categories or DOT hazard classes.
• Differentiate and consolidate similar materials while wearing respiratory protection.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma required.
• Hazardous waste experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to act in a professional manner at all times.
• Strong team player.
• Effective follow‑through of direction.
• Ability to work in a changing job environment.

Required Certification / Licenses / Training

• A valid Driver’s License.
• 40‑hour HAZWOPER Certification preferred.
