Minnesota Merit System invites applications for a full-time Health and Human Services Supervisor (Adult Protection, Mental Health, and Substance Use Disorders) in Winona County, MN. The role provides leadership, budget oversight, and program management within the Health and Human Services division.

Under the Health and Human Services Director, you will supervise staff, implement policies, ensure compliance with regulations, and coordinate services with community and state agencies.

Qualifications

• An accredited Master’s Degree in Social Work and one year of experience as a social worker.
• A Master’s degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, human services administration, or closely related field and one year of experience as a social worker.
• Bachelor’s degree with four years of experience as a social worker.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, counseling, psychology, human services administration, nursing or related field with two years of client-centered programs and case management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the unit to assure quality services for county residents.
• Complete corrective action plans for non-compliant cases.
• Review case openings, closings and information requests for standards compliance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and county rules and regulations.
• Discuss and disseminate new/updated rules with staff orientation.
• Provide staff with printed information and agency procedures.
• Evaluate community needs and program effectiveness.
• Report to the Director/County Board on pertinent population data.

Education

Master's Degree in Social Work

Master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, human services administration

Bachelor's degree + 4 years of social worker experience

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field + 2 years case management
