Job summary

Synergy HomeCare of Miami is seeking experienced Home Health Aides (HHAs) and CNAs to provide non-medical in-home care across Miami-Dade County, delivering compassionate support to clients in private residences.

This 1099 independent contractor role features flexible schedules, including night shifts and weekends, with pay between $18.00 and $19.50 per hour, and opportunities for full-time or part-time engagement based on client demand.

Qualifications

• Must have fluent English and pass an English proficiency interview.
• Minimum 1 year of private duty, home care, assisted living, hospital, rehabilitation, or nursing home experience.
• HHA certificate and CNA license required for Home Health duties.
• Must have valid driver's license and car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, bathing, and grooming.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility transfers.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and monitor safety, dementia care as needed.
• Remind and assist with medications; accompany to appointments.

Job description

Synergy HomeCare of Miami is seeking experienced, compassionate, and reliable Home Health Aides (HHAs) and CNAs (that are open to do Home Health duties) to provide non-medical in-home care services throughout Miami-Dade County.

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. We are currently experiencing high demand for English-speaking caregivers and are looking for professionals who can communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Availability

• $18.00-$19.50 per hour
• Higher rates may be considered for candidates with exceptional experience and qualifications
• Flexible schedules available
• Nightshifts/Overnights and Weekends available
• Full-time and part-time opportunities

Requirements:

• Fluent or highly proficient spoken English
• Must successfully pass an English proficiency interview
• Minimum 1 year of private duty, home care, assisted living, hospital, rehabilitation, or nursing home experience
• Valid HHA certificate and CNA license in case of Home Health duties
• Reliable transportation
• Professional and compassionate demeanor
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)

Required Documents: Applicants should be prepared to provide the following:

• HHA Certificate or CNA License
• Valid Driver's License and Car insurance with Insurance Declaration Page
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Physical Examination completed within the last 6 months stating "Free of Communicable Diseases"
• Professional References
• Level 2 Background Screening (for more information visit The Agency for Health Care Administration web page)
• HIV/AIDS 4-Hour Training Certificate (HIV 104)
• Alzheimer's/Dementia Training Certificate
• Required In-Service Training Certificates (HIPAA, OSHA, Infection Control, Assisting with Self-Medication, Elder Abuse)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's clients
• Experience with transfers and mobility assistance
• Post-operative care experience
• Availability for weekends, overnights, and nightshifts assignments
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Able to work in the Miami Dade County Area
