Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced operations leader in the United States to coordinate aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring airworthiness and regulatory compliance. The role advises senior management, develops cross-functional plans, and oversees performance metrics to meet contract requirements and customer objectives.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance teams, preparing reports, and guiding resource allocation to optimize operations while maintaining safety and quality

Job description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Management and coordinate aircraft maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, overhauls and modifications.
• Ensures all work adheres to FAA regulations, manufacturer manuals, and technical bulletins: certify airworthiness of aircraft.
• Advise senior management on program-wide operations and policy oversight for effective decision-making regarding operations performance, issues, and optimal approaches to accomplish company and customer objectives.
• Develop plans with all functional areas, provide all required reports, and oversee work control, planning, and overall mission support.
• Implement strategic plans for operations to support contract requirements based on industry best practices; May include providing analysis and support for business development.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and government regulations.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and operation of all assigned systems and supporting infrastructure if assigned.
• Implement performance metrics, conduct trend analysis, prepare reports, and brief leadership on operational results.
• Track project compliance with operations policies and procedures, identify issues, and recommendsolutions.
• Provide management guidance and control for efficient utilization of assigned personnel, employee performance, morale, and welfare.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Ability to partner with others, provide outstanding customer service, maintain quality standards and customer satisfaction.
• Detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks independently.
• Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Additional knowledge/skills may be required and will be listed separately.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.

Preferred Requirements:

• Ten (10) years of experience in an operations management environment with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
• Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment and will be listed separately.

Compensation Details:

113k -118k
