Job summary

Guernsey Electricity is looking for an experienced HGV Hiab Driver to transport transformers, switchgear, cables and other essential infrastructure across the electricity network, using specialist lifting equipment to install and remove critical assets safely and efficiently.

You'll work closely with our Substation Maintenance Team, with no two days the same—from supporting planned upgrades to responding to operational requirements across the business.

Qualifications

• Hold a Category C or C+E HGV licence.
• Willingness to undertake practical, hands-on work transporting equipment.
• Experience with lifting operations and safe handling of critical assets is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Transport transformers, switchgear, cables and other infrastructure across the electricity network using specialist lifting equipment.
• Work closely with the Substation Maintenance Team and support planned upgrades along with responsive operational needs.
