Qualifications

• No prior experience with pigs required.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Physical ability to perform tasks (lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods).

Responsibilities

• Daily care for pigs at the designated site.
• Sorting pigs.
• Monthly maintenance such as cleaning dryer vents, greasing anchor bearings, and bait.
• Ordering feed.
• Follow Holden Farms Biosecurity Program.
• Power washing farrow rooms and hallways.
• Castration.
• Feeding and checking waters.
• Perform heat detection on sows.
• Breed sows via artificial insemination.
• Monitor and treat sows with vaccines/medicines.
• Cleaning facilities and minor maintenance.
• Keeping detailed records.
• Other site maintenance as needed.
