Job summary
Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Pediatric/Adult Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical leadership and comprehensive care within scope of practice. You will take histories, perform exams, order tests, diagnose and manage common illnesses, and contribute to prevention and patient-centered plans.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners.
- Three (3) years clinical experience in related area or specialty field.
- Compact state or Arizona RN license (RN).
- Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license (LIC APN).
- National Certificate as an nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.CT NP-AACN, b.CT NP-AANP, c.CT NP-ANCC, or d.CT NP-PNCB.
- DEA registration (DEA).
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (CT ACLS).
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS).
Responsibilities
- Take patient's history, perform physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, establish diagnoses and provide care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention.
- Assist with patient admission, transfer, or discharge; make referrals to specialists and community agencies; participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop patient-centered plans and provide care for acutely ill patients, including emergency responses and potential ICU patient assessments.
