Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology with fellowship training in Hepatology preferred.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to excellence in patient care and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with liver diseases, including hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, and autoimmune liver conditions.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, transplant teams, and other specialists across the UPMC network.
• Participate in clinical research, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in multidisciplinary case reviews and contribute to service line development.
• Optional academic appointment through UPMC’s affiliated medical schools.
