As a Level II Trauma center, ANMC represents over 30 medical specialties and serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people from across the state. As part of our Internal Medicine team, you will join in managing a combination of outpatient clinics, inpatient consults and field clinics throughout Alaska. The ANTHC Liver Disease and Hepatitis Program is a world-renowned hepatology program recognized for work in prevention and treatment of viral hepatitis A, B and C, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune hepatitis, alcohol associated liver disease, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). This program operates daily hepatology clinics at ANMC, plus ten 2- to 3-day rural hepatology clinics across Alaska, provides inpatient hospital liver disease consultation, teaching programs including monthly national ECHO programs on liver disease and cutting edge research that has led to over 300 publications. We are recruiting for a physician (MD or DO) with at least 5 years’ experience in internal or family medicine. On the job training will be provided. This is an exciting opportunity for an interested physician.
