Job description

Hematology/Oncology - Solid Tumor Faculty

The Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine, the MetroHealth System and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is seeking full‑time, academic faculty members at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level with a focus on solid tumor oncology. Interest in breast, lung, or gastrointestinal cancers is preferred. Applicants should possess excellent clinical skills and have a strong interest in teaching, research, and active collaboration in multidisciplinary patient care. The qualified applicant must hold an MD or DO degree. All individuals will have completed a fellowship in adult hematology and/or oncology and be board certified or board eligible in hematology and/or oncology.

Position Overview

The Division of Hematology/Oncology has a growing faculty, with practices in multiple locations in the metropolitan Cleveland area. The successful candidate will have an appointment to the medical faculty of the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Final rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, longitudinal patient care.
  • Teach and mentor internal medicine residents, hematology/oncology fellows, and medical students.
  • Participate in clinical trials and actively engage in research.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary patient care and embrace team‑oriented research with a focus on addressing disparities in cancer care.
