Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Burien, WA, is seeking a board-certified Hematology-Oncology physician to join our experienced team on the St. Anne Hospital campus. Outpatient infusion and chemo are provided on site with modern facilities and a patient-centered approach.

You will conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve quality and patient experience while advancing clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Hematology and Oncology.
• At least two years of practice experience.
• Active Washington State Medical License, or eligible for licensure.
• Strong clinical skills and experience with both hematology and oncology patients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients with a wide variety of hematology and oncology diseases.
• Offer guidance and support to patients and families regarding educational resources and community services
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care
• Stay current with research and best practices in both Hematology and Oncology to provide evidence-based care
• Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote awareness of cancer care and blood disorder issues
