Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice in California seeks a Hematology-Oncology physician to provide locum tenens support in a hospital setting. Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with responsibilities spanning diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning for hematology and oncology patients.

Board Certification or Eligibility in Oncology or Hematology is required, along with California licensure and ACLS. Proficiency with iKnowmed and Cerner is preferred, including infusion procedures as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, stage, and treat hematology and oncology patients in a hospital.

• Provide comprehensive hematology/oncology care within a hospital setting.

Role: Hematology-Oncology Physician providing locum tenens support in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, stage, and treat hematology and oncology patients; manage symptoms; perform procedures including infusion therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusions, hormone therapy, and therapeutic phlebotomies.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology or Hematology; required certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); licensure in California.

Skills and Experience: Proficiency with EMR systems (iKnowmed and Cerner); ability to handle all aspects of diagnosis and treatment; experience with infusion procedures is preferred.

Key Duties: Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care, including diagnosis, staging, treatment planning, symptom management, and infusion services in a hospital environment.
