Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Hematology/Oncology job in Minneapolis, MN. Compensation is $100/hour - $115/hour for a 13-week assignment, start 11-09-26, with a standard 5, 8-hour shift 08:00 - 16:30.

The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive medical care under physician supervision, perform histories and exams, order tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe meds and document care, collaborating with the health care team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from an accredited program.
• Active and unencumbered PA license in Minnesota.
• National certification from NCCPA.
• Typically 1 year of clinical experience in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
• Conduct patient histories and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications.
• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician.
• Educate and counsel patients on preventative care and health management.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly.
• Stay current on advancements in medicine through continuing education.
