Job summary

Saint Alphonsus seeks a board-certified/eligible Medical Oncologist to join a physician-led multispecialty group in the Boise area. Work Monday–Friday with a minimum of 32 patient contact hours weekly; a 4-day week is possible.

The role involves collaboration with surgical, radiation and medical oncology teams, nurse navigators, and participation in tumor boards and clinical trials at a major cancer center. Licensure in Oregon/Idaho and DEA registration are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
• ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and Oncology/Hematology fellowship completed.
• Board certification or certification within 3 years.
• Licensure in Oregon and Idaho with privileges at SAMC-Nampa and SARMC-Boise.
• DEA registration and controlled substance registration.
• Visa candidates considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care with a minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week; 4-day work week option.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including surgeons in breast, GYN, colorectal, neurosurgery, thoracic.
• Participate in tumor boards and clinical trials.

Job description

Become part of a physician led 650+ provider multispecialty group with a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. Anchored with locations in Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, and Ontario and telemedicine opportunities through the region, this full-spectrum practice is QOPI certified and CoC accredited, offering rewarding opportunities including over 100 clinical trials. The integrated program also has leading surgical expertise with the State’s only fellowship-trained surgical oncologist along with other highly specialized physicians to support a growing program. The schedule consists of working M-F with a minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week: 4-day work week available.

Support

Full-service cancer center with medical, radiation, and surgical oncology offers integrative care team support with nurse navigators, social work support, genetics counseling, and nutritionist. Dedicated 10-bed inpatient unit at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Weekly tumor boards provide opportunity to collaborate with our fellowship trained surgeons in breast, plastic/reconstruction, GYN oncology, colorectal, neurosurgery, thoracic and esophageal. Innovative programs include lung cancer screening, lung nodule clinic, neuro oncology, and robust clinical trials through the Montana Cancer Consortium.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency program & Medical Oncology/Hematology fellowship
• Board certified or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment
• Obtain Oregon and Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC- Nampa, SARMC - Boise and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed
• Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Open to considering Visa candidates.
