Job summary

Medicus Healthcare Solutions is partnering with a facility in central California for a Hematologist/Oncologist contract assignment to support their outpatient team.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts with no on-call requirements and about 20 patients daily. Bone marrow biopsies are required. ACLS and DEA are needed; travel and lodging are provided, with strong licensing/credentialing support from Medicus.

Qualifications

• Board certification or board eligibility in hematology/oncology.
• Outpatient care experience.
• Ability to perform bone marrow biopsies.

Responsibilities

• Provide hematology/oncology outpatient care for scheduled patients.
• Perform bone marrow biopsies as required.
• Coordinate with NPs, MSAs, RNs and other staff.
• Adhere to CPRS EMR workflows and credentialing processes.

Assignment Overview

• Case Mix: 30% hematology, 70% oncology
• Required Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies
• Support Staff: NPs, MSAs, RNs, AIC RNs, infusion coordinators, RN coordinators, and research study coordinators
• EMR: CPRS
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible
• ACLS and DEA required
• Paid travel & expenses
