NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner) on a per diem basis for Hematology/Oncology at Lake Success and Riverhead. The role involves comprehensive nursing care, prescriptive authority under a practice agreement, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include NYS RN and NP licenses, a Master’s in Nursing, ANCC certification or equivalent, and prior oncology experience.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a NY Professional Nurse and as a NY Nurse Practitioner.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Certification by ANCC or Board Certification and ACLS, PALS, NRP Provider; Neonatal Resuscitation Program, NALS per privileges.
• Prior Oncology experience required.
• RN-NYS, NP-NYS licenses required.

Responsabilités

• Plans and organizes care to meet patient needs and ensure resource utilization per protocols.
• Monitors cost effectiveness and performance indicators for the service.
• Assists in research protocols development and evaluation.
• Collaborates with nursing and other disciplines on clinical studies within Oncology.
• Prescribes equipment, devices, therapy, and home health services per protocol.
• Prescribes inpatient and discharge medications per NYS law, including controlled substances with DEA authorization.
• Works with attending physicians and other disciplines to maximize patient outcomes and cost-effective care.
• Develops care plans with patients and families to meet goals and length of stay.
