Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Nursing Administrator to oversee a designated nursing area, directing care quality and staff utilization. You will coordinate services with other departments and support physicians in delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current Missouri RN licensure and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
Basic Life Support certification.
Nursing (5 Years) work experience.

Responsibilities

Directs, analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services to improve patient care quality.
Advises and assists in administering new treatments and assisting physicians.
Facilitates staff education to ensure compliance with guidelines.
Coordinates patient services with other departments and hospitals.
Monitors staff development and handles administrative duties including schedules and evaluations.
Coordinates billing/insurance activities and monitors documentation.
Prepares reports and participates in budget discussions and improvements.
