Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is recruiting for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Hematology to cover West Los Angeles and Central Valley California. The MSL will build scientific relationships with key thought leaders and healthcare professionals, provide balanced information, and support investigator-initiated studies while maintaining compliance.

The role requires Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience and at least 2+ years as an MSL, with strong medical and scientific

Qualifications

• Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers, etc.).
• 2+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated success as an MSL.
• Scientific Acumen: Strong scientific/therapeutic expertise with skills in research, data analysis, clinical expertise, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to support a defined territory with up to 70% travel, including in-territory visits and external congresses.
• Must hold a valid US Driver’s License (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a scientific engagement plan for the territory aligned with Medical Affairs strategy.
• Engage in high-quality scientific exchange with KOLs and HCPs to understand perspectives and trends.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with community and academic HCPs/KOLs to advance scientific credibility.
• Leverage insights and tools to develop strategic approaches for customer engagements and uncover gaps and opportunities.
• Deliver tailored scientific data to HCPs through clear dialogue and presentations.
• Provide support for investigator-initiated studies and internal collaborations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including MSLs, R&D, US and Global Medical Affairs, and Sales/Marketing.
• Demonstrate ongoing scientific learning via journals, seminars, and congresses.
