Job description

Hematology & Medical Oncology Fellowship Program Director

St. Lukes University Health Network is seeking a physician‑educator who wants to define and run a fellowship program, not just deliver it. We are building a comprehensive cancer center. This fellowship program requires a leader who sees education as infrastructure rather than obligation. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

Our newly expanded Cancer Center has new clinical volume, disease teams, research infrastructure, and faculty. You will shape the education mission of the center from its foundation, including curriculum design, rotation structure, scholarly expectations, and the program culture. This is a once‑in‑a‑career opportunity.

The position is offered at our Anderson Campus in Easton, PA or our Bethlehem Campus in Bethlehem, PA. In this role, you will maintain your specialty practice while overseeing nine fellows (three per year across a three‑year program).

Qualifications
  • Board‑certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
  • Minimum five years post‑fellowship clinical practice
  • Demonstrated commitment to graduate medical education with prior fellowship teaching experience
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • No active restrictive covenant with Lehigh Valley Health Network or Jefferson Health Affiliates
What You’ll Enjoy
  • Singular ownership by reporting directly to the Systemwide Chief of Hematology & Oncology without any committee layer, vice‑chair, or enterprise‑level fellowship coordination
  • Joining a Commission on Cancer accredited oncology program that has received multiple awards from NCI and NCQA and a superior rating for lung cancer surgery outcomes
  • Exceptional compensation package including signing bonus and relocation reimbursement
  • Rich benefits package including malpractice coverage, generous CME allowance, and retirement benefits
