Position Overview
PharmaEssentia is seeking an experienced Hematology Account Manager with a strong patient focus and a passion for driving results for its commercial product, BESREMi. This position is responsible for all sales activities in an assigned geographical area and will be expected to maximize sales achievement through promotion of PharmaEssentia products to approved, targeted customers and distribution channels. You will build and execute strategic territory plans across stakeholders involved in patient care in order to educate customers about BESREMi and address the various needs along the treatment adoption process. Customers include hematologists/oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy and therapeutics groups, teaching institutions, hospitals and formulary committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Focus
- Communicate the clinical profile of BESREMi, describe pivotal trial data and address clinical and non-clinical barriers in a clear and impactful manner to key customers involved in hematology oncology patient care
- Partner with cross-functional commercial teams (market access and medical) to provide comprehensive solutions for customers
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and patient-focused service by sharing knowledge across teams, investing in personal skill development, and staying current with clinical and business dynamics
- Results Focus
- Develop territory business plans to address the needs of various customers within the geography as it relates to BESREMi
- Develop account/prescriber action plans with clear milestones, using analytics to track progress and trends
- Meet and exceed objectives through collaborative planning and effective execution of strategic direction
- Entrepreneurial Expertise
- Become a subject matter expert on disease state, clinical and product knowledge, competitive intelligence, market dynamics, and customer needs across segments
- Demonstrate creative problem solving and a proactive, can-do startup mindset

- Use data and judgement to evaluate plans and adapt to evolving landscape
- Utilize CRM as a strategic tool to assess and track customer status and progress sales plans
- Complete sales administrative requirements (T&E, compliance SOPs, Sunshine reporting, etc.)
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, including hematology, solid tumor, or rare disease space
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Consistent track record of hematology/oncology sales in academic and community settings
- Existing relationships with key customers (e.g., KOLs, key account leadership) valued
- Experience in new product launches required
- Experience and understanding of other commercial functions (marketing, market access, sales operations, training, analytics, etc.) preferred
- Start-up environment experience preferred
- Specialty pharmacy knowledge preferred
- Strong sales performance history and patient-focused mindset
- Ability to manage all facets of the sales cycle, including patient identification, clinical conviction, access/reimbursement barriers, and distribution
- Creative thinking and solution-oriented attitude to support customer needs
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and leadership presence
- Adaptable to changes with a big-picture perspective during launches
- Commitment to high ethical standards and patient-centricity
- Strong critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated sales hunter mentality with ability to generate new leads and drive results
- Advanced business and account management skills; capable of covering large territories autonomously
Compensation: The expected base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education and location, with additional short-term and long-term incentives.
