Job summary

Our client, Confidential, a leading academic medical center in the New York City Metro area, seeks a Hematologist Oncologist Physician to join a dynamic team. The role offers high-quality clinical care, teaching, and research within a busy academic environment.

The ideal candidate is board-eligible or board-certified in Hematology and Oncology, with experience in leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma, and a willingness to mentor trainees.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited university.
• New York Medical License.
• Board eligibility or certification in Hematology and Oncology.
• Experience treating blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma.
• Willingness to participate in academic activities and mentor trainees.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care for a busy hematology/oncology practice within the hospital setting.
• Conduct consultation services for hematology and oncology patients.
• Manage outpatient and inpatient schedules with clinic hours from 8 am to 5 pm, including a weekend call rotation shared among three attending physicians.
• Participate in academic activities, including teaching residents and fellows.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
