Job summary

Essen Health care is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Hematologist to join our growing team in New York, providing diagnosis, treatment, and management of blood disorders and malignancies. The physician will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certification/Eligibility in Hematology (ABIM).
• Valid New York State medical license (or eligibility).
• Strong clinical skills and commitment to evidence-based medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of hematologic conditions (anemia, clotting disorders, hemoglobinopathies, hematologic malignancies, etc.).
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, bone marrow biopsies, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, transfusion management, and anticoagulation therapy.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, primary care providers, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic medical records.
• Participate in call coverage as required.
