Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide and monitor individualized nursing care within a defined scope of practice. Responsibilities include high acuity psychosocial and clinical care, patient education, and collaboration with the health care team.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license (compact state acceptable in Virginia), may have a BSN, pediatric experience, and infusion clinic exposure (Hematology/Oncology preferred).

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree or diploma in nursing; BSN preferred.
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Infusion clinic experience in Hematology/Oncology is a plus.
• CPR training required within 45 days of hire; PALS training within 45 days for infusion clinic or 6 months inpatient.
• APHON Provider Status preferred or must be obtained within 120 days of hire.

Formation

Associate's in Nursing / Diploma in Nursing

BSN preferred

Pediatric experience preferred

Infusion clinic Hematology/Oncology experience preferred

CPR Training required within 45 days of hire

PALS training required within 45 days for infusion clinic; 6 months inpatient

APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Status preferred or within 120 days
