Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Helper – Pipe Shop to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The candidate will assist in general shop activities, support the foreman, and ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include unloading materials, maintaining a clean workspace, and adhering to safety policies while collaborating with peers to complete projects on time.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Some knowledge of HVAC or general construction preferred.
• Must bring own hand tools; trade-specific tools required over time.
• Reliable transportation and good communication required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general work activities per direction to complete tasks.
• Support foreman and superintendent to keep projects on schedule.
• Provide quality productive work with minimal reminders.
• Communicate with foreman and superintendent.
• Assist in unloading trucks and keep space clean and organized.
• Follow all safety policies and report unsafe conditions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with general work activities per the direction of others to complete the activities.
• Support the foreman and superintendent to complete the project on time.
• Provide the best quality and productive work without constant reminders.
• Communicate with foreman and superintendent.
• Assist in unloading trucks
• Maintain a clean and organized job space
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Observe, report and correct unsafe work environment
• Collaborate with other workers to complete project.
• Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Some knowledge of HVAC or general construction
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have reliable form of communication
• Must show up on time in the appropriate attire and professionally present yourself
• Must bring your own hand tools; trade specific specialty tools will be required as time goes on

• Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
• Material Handling:? lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs. frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing the position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).Required Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

Work Environment:

Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
