Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Helper- Mechanical to support HVAC and construction-related tasks. This role involves assisting with general activities, coordinating with foremen and mechanics, and maintaining a safe, organized job space in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have HVAC or general construction exposure, reliable transportation, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of HVAC or general construction.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, and some weekends).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have reliable form of communication.
• Must show up on time in appropriate attire and professionally present yourself.
• Must bring your own hand tools; trade specific specialty tools will be required as time goes on

Responsibilities

• Assist with general work activities per the direction of others.
• Support the mechanic, foreman, and superintendent to complete the project on time.
• Provide quality and productive work with minimal reminders.
• Communicate with management, superintendent, and customers.
• Communicate with mechanics, foreman and superintendents.
• Assist in unloading trucks.
• Maintain a clean and organized job space.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Observe, report and correct unsafe work environment.
• Collaborate with other workers to complete project.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Must successfully pass a background check & drug test
• Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
• Material Handling:? lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs. frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing the position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC)?.

Work Environment:

Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
