Job summary

Home Power Systems, part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking a Generator Helper to learn installation alongside licensed technicians.Based in the Town of Farmington, NY, this entry‑level role emphasizes hands‑on training, safety, and a long‑term HVAC career.

You will assist with equipment placement, measurements, tooling, and support wiring and piping under supervision while developing practical skills and contributing to on‑time project completion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with placing, assembling, and installing generator equipment, ductwork, and piping
• Load, unload, and stage tools, materials, and equipment
• Measure, cut, and prepare sheet metal, insulation, and related components
• Support basic wiring, piping, and system connections under supervision
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and company vehicle
• Follow all company safety standards and OSHA guidelines
• Contribute to on-schedule project completion while maintaining quality

Role Overview

Helper Generator Install (2025-1071)

The Generator Helper works alongside licensed installers and technicians to learn the full scope of generator systems. This role combines hands‑on work with ongoing skill development and is designed for someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to grow, and committed to building a long‑term career in the HVAC trade.

Pay Range

USD $18.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
