Job summary

Zachry Group in Baytown, TX seeks an Industrial Pipefitter Helper to assist in the assembly, layout, installation and maintenance of pipe systems on an industrial plant.

You will identify required tools, follow safety rules, support preparation, fabrication, installation and fitting of pipe to specifications, install valves, hangers, and flanges, and help test piping systems to ensure quality. This role requires teamwork, reliability, and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience as an industrial Pipefitter Helper.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work with a team.
• Must have reliable transportation and meet physical demands.
• Experience on an industrial construction project is preferred.
• Must have all required tools as applicable to the role.

An Industrial Pipefitter Helper will assist in the assembly, layout, installation and maintenance of pipe systems on an industrial plant.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities

• Identify all tools required for tasks.


• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.


• Assist with preparation, fabrication, installation, and fitting of pipe to specifications.


• Assist with the installation of valves, hangers, supports, flanges inside piping system according to plans and applicable specifications.


• Assist with the testing to ensure the quality of the pipe and the piping systems.


• Assist with hoisting loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.

Qualification Highlights
