Job summary

The Prolift Rigging Company is seeking a reliable warehouse associate to operate forklifts and assist with loading, unloading, and rigging tasks at our San Marcos, Texas site.

You will help manage stock, prepare sites, and support the safe movement of heavy equipment, following safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong mechanical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of weights, measurement and balance in practical scenarios.
  • Must be flexible with schedule, travel possibly, and able to work overtime.
  • Must pass a drug test, fit-for-duty assessment, and background check.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Manage and track inventory; keep stock levels organized.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensure safe handling of materials.
  • Assist with construction tasks and site preparation as required.
  • Assist to align, level, anchor cranes and heavy equipment.
  • Assist to assemble rigging and pulling gear and related structures.
  • Assist in connecting pulleys and blocks to overhead structures.
  • Assist to clean and prepare machinery and surfaces for operation.
  • Support safe movement of heavy equipment through confined spaces.
  • Dismantle, maintain, and store rigging equipment properly.
  • Move materials using rigging lines and hoists.
  • Assist in selecting gears, cables, and shackles per load.
  • Direct workers to hoist loads safely and efficiently.
  • Test rigging for safety and reliability prior to lifting operations.
  • Complete ProLift-specific and third-party training as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Manage inventory, including tracking, organizing, and maintaining stock levels.
  • Load and offload trucks, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.
  • Perform general construction tasks as required, including material handling and site preparation.
  • Assisting to align, level, anchor cranes and other heavy equipment.
  • Assisting to assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoists, and pulling gear.
  • Assisting to connect pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures using bolts, shackles, and clamps.
  • Assisting to clean and prepare machinery and surfaces of parts for installation or operation.
  • Assisting to control the movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.
  • Assisting to dismantle, maintain, and store rigging equipment properly.
  • Assisting to manipulate rigging lines and hoists to move or support materials, steel, and concrete.
  • Select gears, cables, and shackles based on load size, facility requirements, and work schedules.
  • Signal and direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of personnel and materials.
  • Assisting to test rigging for safety and reliability prior to lifting or hoisting operations.
  • Complete ProLift-specific, regulatory, and equipment training through internal LMS.
  • Complete third-party or customer-required training as needed for on-site access.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
