Sittercity.com is looking for an after-school sitter in New York City to help with pickup and light supervision for two children, ages 7 and 3½. Start date is in November with flexible timing in the afternoons.

The role runs 2:30–4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with walking and subway trips as needed. Must be comfortable with speech delays and learning differences, and enjoy caring for multiple ages in a lively home.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-school pickup for two children (ages 7 and 3½) from school and walk/escort them home as needed.
• Walk/transport the 3½-year-old from preschool in Morningside Heights to home via stroller (about 25 minutes).
• Assist with transportation to speech therapy for the 7-year-old via subway on UWS.

Job description

Looking for a sitter to help us after school with pickup starting in November (start date flexible). Paid hours 2:30-4:30pm Monday-Friday. My two younger children (7 and 3 1/2) get out of school at the same time. I need help picking up one child and while I pick up the other.

Monday, Thursday and Friday pick-up 3 1/2 year old from preschool in Morningside Heights and walking home via stroller to Central Harlem (about 25 min walk).

Tuesday and Wednesday pick up 7 year old from school on UWS and take to speech therapy via subway (also on UWS).

We live in Central Harlem (closest to the 2/3 subway). Must be comfortable working with children who have speech delays and learning differences
